Representative Greg Costantino Announces his Candidacy for Re-Election in District 44

Representative Greg Costantino announced his candidacy for re-election in District 44, Smithfield, Lincoln, and Johnston. “It has been an honor to serve the residents of District 44 and with your continued support I will continue to fight for you”, Representative Costantino said. I do not accept campaign contributions, so my only loyalty is to my constituents.

Costantino voted to eliminate the car and that resulted in $7.1 million dollars annually to the Town of Smithfield.

He helped pass legislation that eliminated the tax on our veterans’ pensions.

“The education of our children is a priority for me, and I sponsored legislation that allowed the Town of Smithfield to pass a 45-million-dollar school bond creating state of the art elementary schools. I also secured $375,000 in aid for our libraries. Together with millions of dollars of additional state aid for education”

Costantino lobbied DOT to resurface Greenville Ave two years ahead of schedule. Together with Senator Tikoian he secured funding to repave parts of RT 44 near Navigant Bank that was becoming pot-hole city. He secured funding for the installation of a traffic signal at the corner of Greenville Ave and Route 5 that eliminated dangerous traffic conditions.

Costantino supported legislation that created a $50,000 exemption for tangible tax relief for our small business community. “As a small business entrepreneur, I know the importance of helping our small business owners.”

Costantino also supported legislation that eliminated the gross receipts tax on utility bills that lowered the cost of residential electricity and gas bills for his constituents giving them more income to fight inflation and rising food costs.

“If you give me the honor of re-electing me, I promise to keep fighting for you and champion legislation that provides more tax relief, infrastructure funding, lower prescription costs and government transparency. I ask for your help and vote so that together we can make government more accountable to you.”
