The Smithfield Education Foundation is excited to announce its next fundraiser, a Rubber Ducky Regatta! Donators to the cause will receive a duck or multiple ducks that will float down the Woonasquatucket River on Saturday, September 21, 2019 and dramatically race over the waterfall heading towards the finish line in Smithfield’s Esmond Park Conservation Area.
Duck adoptions start at $5 each, but there are also packages available for more value. A Quack Pack of 3 ducks is $10; the Ducks in a Row Pack of 4 ducks is $15; and the Package of Quackers Pack of 5 is $20. The Grand Prize is $250 and there will be a limited number of other prizes for those ducks that waddle in after first place.
Ducks can be adopted online at rubberduckregatta.cheddarup.com, and duck numbers will be assigned to you. If you prefer to request specific duck numbers, please email the foundation at SmithfieldEdFoundation@gmail.com.
In addition, the Smithfield Education Foundation will be holding another fundraiser at Five Guys in Lincoln on Monday, September 16th from 5-8pm. Volunteers will be on-site for in-person duck adoptions.
