The Greenville Public Library will host Jeff Belanger, a paranormal researcher, who knows all about things that go bump in the night on Monday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., who will offer a multimedia lecture on his findings.
For the last 17 years, Belanger has searched the world for monsters, ghosts, and other paranormal legends that have seeped into our culture, folklore, religion, and even our history books. This will be the only presentation of Belanger’s annual lecture “A Supernatural Evening” in Northern Rhode Island this fall.
“Greenville Public Library is thrilled to have Belanger provide an in-depth look at the ghosts and legends that captivate our attention during the Halloween season and throughout the year,” according to a press release.
Belanger’s talk will include images, audio clips, and video from some of the world’s most infamous haunts plus a question and answer session for the audience. He will also have autographed books available for purchase.
What’s in store for the audience? Belanger says, “we’ll dim the lights, talk about the ghost experience, and see the evidence and theories regarding the paranormal. I’ve spoken on the topic of the supernatural all over the world—there’s nothing like sharing in this discussion in person.”
Belanger is a paranormal researcher, investigator, and is the author of more than a dozen books on the paranormal that have been published in six languages. He’s also the Emmy-nominated host, writer, and producer of New England Legends on PBS and the series writer/researcher for the Ghost Adventures show on the Travel Channel, which is now in its ninth season. He is a noted speaker and media personality who has lectured at libraries, universities, corporations, MENSA’s national conference, and has given a prestigious TEDx talk in New York City.
Space is limited and registration is required. To register for this event, please call the library at 401-949-3630 or visit the event calendar at yourlibrary.ws.
