“An Enlightening Quiche” Author Eva Pasco Visits
Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2 p.m.
Meet Rhode Island author Eva Pasco and learn how she brings her colorful characters and setting to life. Pasco is the author of “Contemporary Women’s Fiction featuring flawed and feisty women over forty”. “An Enlightening Quiche” centers on Augusta Bergeron, resident of Beauchemins, a fictitious Northern Rhode Island mill town created by Pasco. Books will be available for sale and signing by the author.
Documentary Screening: The Amazing Life and Times of Austin Levy with Director and Producer Kenneth Proudfoot
Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m.
Austin Levy, a well-known factory owner in Northern Rhode Island got his start right here in Greenville with the Stillwater Worsted Mills in the early 20th century. Levy later moved his expanded operations to Harrisville where his business continued to thrive. While he created a name for himself in manufacturing, Levy is also remembered for his philanthropic contributions to the people and village of Harrisville, which are still evident today.
Learn more about this remarkable figure at our screening with the producer and director, Kenneth Proudfoot. Proudfoot recently debuted his documentary at the Assembly Theatre in Harrisville.
